Available Engines 

All the new RAM trucks at our location rely on mighty engines for power. A 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine is the standard powerplant for the RAM 3500, and it delivers 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission and either rear- or four-wheel drive pair with the base powerplant. 

The available Cummins® 6.7-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel engine produces 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. In high-output form, this engine generates an eye-opening 1,075 lb-ft of torque and 420 horsepower. A smooth-shifting, six-speed automatic transmission pairs with both versions of the turbodiesel engine. 

Tow Ratings and Payload Capacities 

The moment you slip behind the wheel of a RAM 3500 at our Aberdeen, MD RAM dealership, you’ll sense how capable the truck is. With the standard powerplant, the RAM 3500 can tow up to 18,210 lb, with a payload of up to 7,680 lb.

If the pickup relies on the high-output version of the Cummins® engine for power, the truck’s maximum tow rating and payload capacity jump to 37,090 lb and 6,560 lb, respectively.
